Eddie B Swift,was born in the South Bronx a borough rich in history and tradition in hip hop.Started off as a grafitti writer in the early 80's then became a break dancer.When breaking died down his choices were limited to the streets or to an art form called DJaying,being he was brought up in a musical household,the choice was easy,he became a DJ.He started off learning his craft by studying legends like Grandmaster Flash,Red Alert and close friends like Luis Flores and DJ Supreme and when he was able to put it together he joined a rap group with childhood friends,Rick Masters,J Flavor,and Lou Blunt.It was then he took it to the next level and took off on his own to persue his quest to be the next big DJ to come out the Bronx.After years of battling and working at the premier record store in the Bronx,it was his co worker and friend Baby Hec Romero who saw that Swift had the "it" factor needed to be a top club DJ.Over the years Swift has played in every venue in the tri state area and was one of the most demanded DJs in the club scene,he then started traveling and making a world wide name for himself.After years of touring he decided to "retire" due to exhaustion with the whole club DJ scene,but it was a chance meeting with DJ Scan from Simplyradio who ignited a fire that was beginning to flame out.Scan introduced him to the world of the internet and showed him how he could continue to be heard world wide while not having to thru the rigors of traveling.Swift took him up on his offer and played on simplyradio.com doing "The Eddie B Swift Radio Show" and immediately was a sucess.Listened by over 1,000,000 people world wide over the internet,he rediscovered his love for DJaying and broadcasting to people all over the world!After several years with Simplyradio,Eddie B Swift relocated to Florida in 2004,and it was there were he met up with DJ Quikdanite and Nasty Stylez.He continued on doing a show but this time with Quikdanite and Stylez,and it was a hit right off the back.Swift went on to join them in R SENAL and started doing the club scene along with Quikdanite forming a great DJ tandem and quickly became in demand again after relocating to Orlando.After DJ Quikdanite and Nasty Stylez acquired Simplyradio from DJ Scan ,they quickly restored Simplyradio as the premier internet radio site with over 4,000,000 hits a month along with Eddie B Swift,Simplyradio is in a class all by itself.Now serving as the program director for Simplyradio,he is also apart of top rated shows including "The World Famous Radio Show","The Bagel and Soda Morning Show" and "Uptown Saturday Nite" playing his unique blend of classic hip hop and break beats.Stay tuned now for "The Eddie B Swift Experience"...
